IPS Community Suite is primarily an online community software developed by Invision Power Services, Inc. It is written in PHP and uses MySQL as its database management system.
Invision Power Services sells applications, each of which can be purchased and installed separately in addition to the Suite, the most widely known of which is the Invision Power Board Internet forum software.
Invision Community refers to the unified set of applications provided by Invision Power Services and is the core of the framework.
